Invested Partnerships
Organizations more transformational than transactional—making long-term changes within the community.
Charlotte Rescue Mission
The partnership between Feeding Charlotte and the Charlotte Rescue Mission is one of our proudest. Feeding Charlotte rescues surplus fresh meals from local donors and delivers them to the Mission, which runs faith-based residential recovery programs like Rebound for men and Dove’s Nest for women and children, serving those at the intersection of homelessness and addiction.
This reliable supply of nutritious food sustains residents during their intentional 120-day (and extended) programs focused on sobriety, counseling, life skills, and rebuilding stability. We are especially happy to support such a transformative program that is deeply focused on long-term outcomes rather than just temporary relief.
Together, they help break cycles of hunger and instability, enabling participants to achieve lasting sobriety, employment, housing, and community reintegration; creating profound, life-changing impact across Charlotte.
Leah’s Hopes and Dreams
Together, they help break cycles of hunger and homelessness, empowering people in Charlotte to move from survival toward hope, independence, and thriving futures.
Hoskins Park Ministries
The partnership between Feeding Charlotte and Hoskins Park Ministries provides rescued fresh meals to a faith-based residential program dedicated to restoring men facing homelessness, addiction, substance abuse, incarceration, and health challenges. Feeding Charlotte diverts surplus prepared food from local donors and delivers it to Hoskins Park, where it supports daily meals for up to 60 residents in a structured Christian community environment.
This consistent nutrition sustains participants during their recovery journey, which includes safe housing, counseling, Bible studies, job placement, financial training, and life skills development aimed at long-term independence and transformation.
Hoskins Park has expressed deep gratitude for the partnership, noting how the donated food is enjoyed by residents and even shared with neighbors living on the street. Together, they help break cycles of hunger and instability, empowering men to rebuild their lives, achieve sobriety and stability, and become contributing members of the Charlotte community.
Nourish Up
The partnership between Feeding Charlotte and Nourish Up brings rescued fresh, prepared meals to one of Mecklenburg County’s largest hunger-relief organizations. Feeding Charlotte diverts surplus nutritious food from local restaurants and donors, delivering it directly to Nourish Up, which merged from Loaves & Fishes and Friendship Trays to provide groceries through the region’s biggest network of food pantries, home-delivered meals, and Meals on Wheels for seniors and neighbors in need.
This consistent supply of quality food enhances Nourish Up’s daily operations, including pantry distributions, meal delivery, and programs like Pantry to Plate cooking classes in their Hunger Hub Teaching Kitchen, helping families and individuals access nourishing options while learning healthy meal skills.
Nourish Up values the reliable donations that allow them to serve thousands facing food insecurity with both immediate relief and compassionate support. Together, they combat hunger at scale, empowering residents to focus on health, stability, and long-term well-being for a stronger, more resilient Charlotte community.
Fenix Collective
The partnership between Feeding Charlotte and Fenix Collective delivers rescued fresh, prepared meals to a nonprofit empowering women, girls, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and gender-non-conforming individuals, especially those returning from incarceration or facing reentry challenges. Feeding Charlotte diverts surplus nutritious food from local donors and transports it to Fenix Collective, which operates Fenix House, a small reentry home in southeast Charlotte, along with mentoring, peer support, crisis assistance, and holistic programs focused on sobriety, mental health, housing stability, and personal transformation.
This reliable supply of quality meals nourishes residents and program participants during their journey from surviving to thriving, freeing up resources for advocacy, life skills, and community-building efforts while reducing food insecurity in vulnerable populations.
Fenix Collective has highlighted how Feeding Charlotte helps meet critical needs and advances environmental goals by cutting food waste. Together, they break cycles of hunger, instability, and marginalization, supporting long-term independence, healing, and stronger futures for some of Charlotte’s most underserved individuals.
Opportunity House
This reliable supply of quality food sustains daily operations and helps create stability for guests, allowing them to focus on recovery, housing placement, employment assistance, vocational training, and long-term self-sufficiency in a compassionate, dignity-centered environment.
Opportunity House values the consistent donations that brighten mornings and strengthen their ability to meet immediate and ongoing needs. Together, they help break cycles of hunger and homelessness, empowering individuals and families in the Concord area to rebuild their lives and achieve lasting stability and hope.
