Project Outpour
Feeding Charlotte has been an incredible and dependable partner to Project Outpour, and our work would not look the same without their support. Through this collaboration, we’ve been able to consistently provide water, drinks, and snacks to our neighbors moving through homelessness, meeting both immediate needs and preserving dignity.
Because of Feeding Charlotte, we’re not only able to provide clean water for hot showers, but we also always have bottled water available to share with neighbors before and after their showers. That access is especially critical during the scorching summer months, when neighbors are waiting outside and relief can’t come soon enough. Knowing we can offer cold water during those moments makes a real difference in health, comfort, and care.
So far in 2025, through our mobile shower and hygiene services, Project Outpour has met the needs of over 4,000 people, providing not only essential hygiene support but also snacks and drinks, impact that is directly strengthened by Feeding Charlotte’s partnership.
This partnership has allowed us to serve individuals, children, and families with the basic necessities they deserve, and we are deeply grateful to Feeding Charlotte for showing up for our neighbors time and time again.

Central United Methodist Church
We have nothing but praise and admiration for Feeding Charlotte. In March 2020, our church was suddenly closed due to the pandemic and so was a new feeding ministry we had just begun for the unchurched community surrounding our church. A week after the closing, Kim Aprill at Feeding Charlotte came to the rescue with an offer of prepared hot food for a 4-week period. With just 2 people in the kitchen filling to-go plates and 4 people and a truck, we began to delivered weekly meals to a low income and HUD-subsidized apartment complex in East Charlotte near our church. The 4 weeks turned into 10 weeks and even beyond to the present.
We are sincerely indebted to Feeding Charlotte for enabling us to continue the work of our church even while our church was closed. Feeding Charlotte is such a fun group to work with and they go beyond just supplying food to their partners – hosting fun events and Kim and Mendy have even been out to help us hand out the to-go plates. Feeding Charlotte is an organization we are proud and privileged to be partnered with and it has enabled us to put over 10,000 meals into the hands of those who need it most and who are lined up outside their apartment building each week waiting for our arrival.

CHOC Project One
We at Champion House Of Care Project One, are proud to say that our food source provides fresh, healthy meals to those kids who live in the hotels or are even homeless. Our food provides our community families with the essential nutrients that are needed to promote healthy eating. This operation has an impact on many; the individuals are feeling nourished which ignites the mind, and physical wellness so they can do the absolute best while in school.
This act of human kindness promotes and fosters trust with the families in our community. We have seen our numbers growing but many are so appreciative of the services we are able to assist our families. Also as a result of those connections and donations, we have recently been able to establish a program that provides meals to our homeless neighbors in Uptown Charlotte. Hospitality House of Charlotte
At Hospitality House of Charlotte, our mission is to create community for patients and families connecting to vital medical care in Charlotte. Through our programming, we relieve logistical and financial burdens for patients accessing care. Our Meals that Heal program supports guests by providing them with free daily meals. Feeding Charlotte has been instrumental in maintaining consistency in this program. House guests are extremely appreciative of these meals. In fact, one guest shared, ‘A serious illness is so expensive… anything that can reduce the financial impact is desperately needed and appreciated. I was very impressed at how well-stocked the kitchen was with everything you could possibly need.’ We are so grateful for Feeding Charlotte’s partnership. With their help, we are able to ensure that our guests can focus on their health journey, rather than where their next meal is coming from.
