Back in 2021, Lionheart Charities—the big-hearted nonprofit arm of Quality Data Systems (QDS) right here in Charlotte—was introduced to Feeding Charlotte’s mission and decided to jump in with both feet. It was Joe Farrell, the founder of QDS, who sparked this amazing partnership by reaching out and starting their generous support. That first step opened the door to steady funding that helped us lay a strong foundation and begin rescuing many more surplus meals for families in need.
Fast forward, and under Sean Farrell’s leadership as CEO, this partnership has grown even bigger and better. Sean and the Lionheart team have kept the momentum going with incredible generosity, helping fuel our expansion and making 2025 our biggest year of impact ever—rescuing record quantities of food, cutting waste, and feeding more neighbors than we could’ve dreamed. Their kindness means everything to us.
Feeding Charlotte is proud to partner with RSM US LLP. RSM professionals actively volunteer with our food rescue program, picking up and delivering surplus nutritious food to local nonprofits. They also support our feeding program by helping get rescued food to those in need.
We are grateful for Sam Sanders, RSM partner, who serves as Treasurer on our Board of Directors and provides valuable financial leadership. RSM is also a major financial donor, enabling us to rescue more food and feed more neighbors across Charlotte.
